WeTheNorth market status
This page tracks the operational state of the WeTheNorth link surface. When Canadian users report that "WTN is down", the truth is usually one of three things — and only one of them is the market's fault.
Link status table
| Address | Type | State | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| hn2paw7zaahbikbejiv6h22zwtijlam65y2c77xj2ypbilm2xs4bnbid.onion | Onion | Online | Canonical market address |
| wtnmarket.net | Clearnet | Online | Primary mirror |
| wtnmarket.ru | Clearnet | Online | Backup mirror |
| wtnmarket.store | Clearnet | Online | Backup mirror |
| wtnforum.net | Forum | Online | Announcements & vendor talk |
"WTN is down" — the three usual causes
1. Your Tor circuit is bad (most common)
Onion traffic crosses three random relays before it reaches the market. If one of your relays is overloaded, the market looks "down" while being perfectly healthy. Fix: Tor Browser menu → New Tor circuit for this site, or restart the browser entirely. Nine times out of ten, that is the whole outage.
2. One mirror is under attack or in maintenance
That is what the other two mirrors are for. If wtnmarket.net is sluggish, open wtnmarket.ru or wtnmarket.store. Same market, same login, same wallet. The forum announces maintenance windows, so a quick look at wtnforum.net settles whether it is planned.
3. The market itself is migrating
Rare, and always announced. In five years of operation WeTheNorth has never disappeared without notice — an outage with a simultaneous forum silence would be the first in its history. Until you see an announcement on the forum, assume causes 1 and 2.
What is NOT a status problem
- A page asking you to log in that doesn't recognize your account — that is a phishing clone, not an outage. Run the link verification checklist.
- Slow load only on the onion address while mirrors are fast — normal during Tor network congestion; keep a mirror bookmarked for browsing.
- Your deposit not showing instantly — network confirmations take minutes; check the access guide for the patience rule on deposits.
